The module contains 4 function units which may optionally be configured for measuring circuits that include thermocouples and/or resistance thermometers designed for 4-wire connections.

Features:
The module can be plugged into any PROCONTROL station with external power supply and is equipped with a standard interface for the PROCONTROL station bus.

The module sends the converted input signals (in the form of telegrams) via the station bus to the PROCONTROL bus system. The telegrams are checked before being sent and marked with a test flag. This ensures error-free transmission to the receiving module.

The individual measuring circuits are activated via relay multiplexers and are therefore individually potential-free. The input signals are transmitted to the processing section as potential-isolated signals. Thus, no interaction between process and bus is ensured.

The temperature sensor, the associated measuring range and the type of compensation are adjusted individually for each measuring circuit using the Programming, Diagnostic and Display System (PDDS). These settings do not require any subsequent recalibration.

The response of the internal monitoring circuit or the input signal monitoring function is displayed in the form of a disturbance notification ST (generic disturbance) on the front of the module.
