GE IC693MDL645 Input Module

The 24 Volt DC Positive/Negative Logic Input Module for the 90-30 Series Programmable Logic Controllers provides a set of 16 input points with a common power input terminal. This input module is designed to have either positive or negative logic characteristics. The input characteristics are compatible with a variety of user-supplied input devices such as push buttons, limit switches, and electronic proximity switches. Current flow into the input points results in a logic 1 in the Input Status table (%I). The user can provide power to operate field devices, or an isolated +24 VDC supply (+24V OUT and 0V OUT terminals) on the power supply can power a limited number of inputs.

There are LED indicators on the top of the module to indicate the on/off status of each point. This LED block has two horizontal rows of LEDs, each with 8 green LEDs; the top row is labeled A1 to 8 (points 1 to 8) and the bottom row is labeled B1 to 8 (points 9 to 16). There is an insert between the inner and outer surfaces of the hinged door. When the hinged door is closed, the surface inside the module has circuit wiring information and circuit identification information can be recorded on the outer surface. The left outer edge of the insert is coded blue to indicate a low voltage module. This module can be installed in any I/O slot of a 5-slot or 10-slot backplane in a 90-30 Series PLC system.
