Detailed data
GE IS200VTURH1BAA Turbine Specific Primary Trip Board
The IS200VTURH1BAA is the main turbine protection card. It controls overspeed trip relays located on the TRPx terminal board. It has nine magnetic relays that are interconnected to three trip solenoids. In a TMR system, all nine relays are used. In a simplex system, only three relays are used. The IS200VTURH1BAA can only be installed in the VME processor rack when powered off. Indicator lights are labeled Status, Fault, and Operation. The board is designed to measure turbine speed from up to four pulse rate signals. The VTUR effectively measures turbine speed using four passive pulse rate devices. This measurement data is transmitted to the controller which generates the main overspeed trip signal. In addition to overspeed protection, the VTUR facilitates automatic generator synchronization, ensuring seamless coordination between generator systems. It also manages the closing of the main circuit breakers, improving system efficiency during operation.
